This is a little bit embarrassing, but how do you get used to camping outside? I need to travel some more to get to places but I always feel like I'm not really camping right. I never really did it at home, so I'm not very used to it.

[And there's the fact that he really doesn't like forests since... well. It reminds him of that place.]

What kind of tips have you all picked up on the road? I'm kind of curious.

The only way you're going to get used to something is by doing it.

[And here's Nagi, with the most obvious of obvious answers.]

If you don't have a Pokemon that can teleport or fly, I would advise against traveling long distances right away.

[Trust him. It sucks.]

Like I said, it also depends on how far you actually plan on traveling. Teleport can only get you so far, and in an emergency you'll be sent back the opposite direction of where you wanted to be anyway.

...if you plan on passing through Mt. Mortar to get there, it's at least a week long trek, two if you pass through the long way. If you don't like camping, you won't want to take that route.

It isn't just a mountain. It's a volcano.

I'm surprised more trainers haven't gotten themselves lost inside.

The only thing worth mentioning about it are the Pokemon you can find, there.

Otherwise, it's not exactly...scenic.

[It probably is for some people, but after passing out in there when everyone had those sudden dreams a few months back, Nagi's not exactly chomping at the bit to go back.]

[Nagi isn't really one to talk about not widening his team pool, um.]

You could always just purchase eggs, if you're hurting for something. Their moves would be better.

[He's started to appreciate breeding more because of that, though he's been catching things more often than not, lately.]

Do you intend to get badges as you travel?

[That's affected where he ends up going, in the past.]

They make traveling easier. Unless you're a breeder, you won't actually be able to fly on any Pokemon without at least obtaining the Zephyr Badge.

It's also the first and arguably the easiest, particularly if you have a strong electric type.

[It's downright laughable if you have a right team on hand, but- well, he'll refrain from saying so.]

Alright. You shouldn't have a problem, then.
