_{[What's that scratching at the bedroom door?]

[It doesn't QUITE sound like Pokemon claws...]}

[He heads over to the door, listening carefully... and then opens the door.]

What's going - ah...

_{[There he is.]

[The kid they've been looking for like crazy for almost two months.]

[He doesn't look any worse for the wear-- actually he looks somewhat more groomed than normal-- but he does look WORRIED.]

[Micchy's the one who's been making sure more than anybody that Wrath sticks to the rules, and Wrath just broke those rules super bad by up and disappearing for so long.]}

... Hi.

[At first he doesn't know what to say. He wants to yell at Wrath for worrying him, he wants to scold him for not checking in with headquarters... but he can't help but feel relief flood him as he crouches down and pulls Wrath into a tight hug, trying not to cry.]

Wrath... I'm glad you're... I'm glad you're safe...

_{[Wrath stands awkwardly, leaning a little into the hug but mostly just standing. It's always a toss-up as to whether or not he'll smile and reciprocate like a normal kid or just... go catatonic.]

[But he does reach up and pat Micchy's head awkwardly but comfortingly with both hands.]}

Ralph said you and him were turning in Pokemon for me so I wouldn't get in trouble.

[He loosens his grip and just holds Wrath gently, trying to to not restrict his movement too much.]

Yeah. It's not a problem. ... I'm just... it's good to see you. You don't have to tell me where you were if you don't want to, but...

[But he wants to know whether he needs to set off some Explosions or not.]

I was talking with my old team.

It took a long time.

_{[He continues to pat Micchy's head, because it feels like it's helping somehow.]}

Yeah, it did. They didn't hurt you, did they?

[He's just gonna check Wrath over, just to make sure.]

_{[He shakes his head.]}

Uh-uh.

I skinned my knee on my way back.

But I have a band-aid now.

There's Audinos on it.

That's good.

[He leads Wrath in a little further so he can close the door behind him. Hotaru the Vulpix hops off of Micchy's bed and heads over to the younger boy, nuzzling against him.]

It looks like she's glad you're safe, too.

_{[As has become customary, he promptly takes his hands off Micchy's head and transfers them to Hotaru's, patting her curly mane.]}

I'm glad I'm safe also.

So I guess all three of us have something to be glad about.

Yeah, we do.

[He's not sure what else to say, just watching Hotaru put her paws on Wrath's side and lick at his arms.]

Do you or your Pokemon need anything? Healing items, food... anything?

_{[Giggling quietly, Wrath sits right down on the floor and tugs the Vulpix right into hi lap. He's gotten much better at petting animals in the year that he's been here. Less pulling or stroking the wrong way.]}

No... everything is fine now.

Ralph gave me pudding.

[She's very glad for the better pets! Pets are nice. She pats his leg. She can pet, too!]

Well, good. We can't have you missing your pudding.
