Interesting. This network is more advanced than I would have thought from a place like this. Everything seems so... simple. There's definitely a lot more natural places around than I'm used to, if this map is right.

I suppose I'm a new 'trainer'. These creatures do remind me of something, though... has anyone here ever been to Zawame City? I'm guessing no, but I thought I might as well ask.

I guess I should get started on learning things about these creatures if I'm going to be here for a while...

[... Though maybe not so quickly. Anyone in the Goldenrod Base might spot the new recruit, looking vaguely uneasy at what he's read of his 'partner' Pokemon's species. Either that, or someone might spot him in a quiet corner, clearly trying to ignore something but... nothing that's visible.]

It's not like violent fighting at all. I hate violence as much as anyone else, yet Pokémon use battles to develop one another. They use moves such as Water-gun or Bubble beam if they are water types. It's easier to actually show you than to explain on here.

I've seen creatures fight before. It's not something I'd wish on another world.

What sort of creatures are we talking about here? I doubt you mean Pokémon. I don't think you understand that the battling system here doesn't cause any permanent harm to the Pokémon. They battle to gain experience points like in a game.

Creatures similar to these. Small beings summoned from small devices to battle in order to settle differences. They also were eager to battle and to get more powerful.

Do you have Pokémon-like creatures on your world too then?

Those creatures were just the beginning of the end. But yes. We do.

What kind of creatures are they that inhabit your world?

They don't inhabit my world, they're summoned to it. Or they just walk through cracks that have opened between our worlds. But they're vicious creatures. The remainders of a civilization that lived long ago, and that eventually went by the rule of 'only the strong survive'. So they're all fighters, and all very powerful and deadly to any human who gets in their way.

For a time people summoned them as part of a game to settle disputes, and they were safely dismissed. But then people lost control of them and people started getting hurt and killed.
